“You are responsible for saving yourself.” This was the instruction I received from my kayaking instructor last summer. I had just learned a saving technique called the bow rescue. It is when a fellow kayaker flips his or her kayak submersing them completely under water. The technique is to simply paddle one’s kayak perpendicular to the struggling fellow’s kayak and stay there. During the lesson my partner’s responsibility was then to find the bow of my kayak, grab the bow and pull herself up out of the water - her head being the last thing up out of the water - hips should come first. I expressed my frustration to the instructor that I felt so helpless as I watch my fellow kayaker struggle to pull herself up out of the water. SHE STRUGGLED, but for me to try any other technique than to remain steady, perpendicular and present would have threatened both her ability to pull herself up and would have also put me at risk of flipping over. It was then that the instructor pronounced his wise directive and one that is true for all of us. We are responsible for saving ourselves. We are responsible for our own happiness; our own sense of joy; our own peace. Others may be present for us, providing us encouragement, support, a steady, non-judgmental position, but ultimately we must save ourselves.

I have learned that I have the power to heal myself of anything. I once had crippling arthritis and I healed myself when my doctor tole me I would have that pain the rest of my life and I would be crippled. He was wrong and refused to believe him.

I had a stroke and the doctors in the hospital told me I would always have a lose of vision and memory and I did not believe them, because I knew that the spirit that breaths in me can heal my body anytime I believe it can.

I was in a serious accident and was told my whip lash would always cause me pain and my knees would not heal if I did not let them operate. I knew they were wrong and I have no knee pain or neck pain because I once again I allowed the power of spirit to heal me.

If you believe you can heal you can, but you have to believe that the power of spirit lives and breaths in you and every one or it will not happen. I take no medication today and just one year again my stroke doctors had me on 14 prescriptions!

Believe that you are a spiritual being having a physical experience, but the spiritual is still with you and it will guide you will all the answers you every need. You have the POWER! Believe it!

I didn’t realize at the time who to believe and what to do or say, the pain caused to her and my geanddaughter with my my second husband who now is in jail. I have had the greatest rewards and pains. I was married twin. I have three biological (daughters) beuatiful children and two (beautiful adopted) sons. My second husband (soon to be ex ) was allowed by my ignoras(sp) to cause get long and on going pain. I feel I shoul have know better but I didn’t. My girls are grown at out of the home. My sons (6 & 7yrs) are now losing our home, every funds we had, but god is good and we will pervail. Many of the things that happened, I cannot write on an email, however you may call me, but please pray for my family.
